Welcome to 2006
Its now 2006 and I decided to start a blog..to get with the times I suppose. I have plans for a few posts...most are consistent with my sarcasm and constant search for irony or controversy. I would love to have your opinions on all of it. This pic is from a malnutrition clinic in Ghana. This little boy (Oliver) got his one meal a day from this clinic in the hopes of stopping the malnutrition from wasting away anymore of his tiny body. I guess for this new year of 2006 I can say that I am damn glad to live in Canada! The life expectancy for a female in sub saharan is 50 as compared to 80 in Canada. I think I'll enjoy those extra 30 years handed to me just for being born here. I just hope Oliver is still around to enjoy 2006 and that everyone has an amazing new year, appreciating all things granted."What is the matter with the poor is poverty; what is the matter with the rich is uselessness."

Amen Kels, kudos to you and I look fwd to more!
Good points Kelsey. We are fortunate to live in Canada as females and males, although we have taken our privileges and turned it into our rights, which has led to greed, uprighteousness and ignorance. Today, how could some people live day by day without enough food, water, or shelter. Is this globalization? I think North America is due for a catastrophy or crisis so we may see our third world neighbors as equals. Education is not getting through our errogent heads.
